A Canadian and a future Costa Rican marvel at the passage of the REAL ID Act. The Act was passed 100-0 as part of the Iraq Supplemental Spending Bill, and who, really, can be against that? This is the latest argument in favor of my lazy, wheels-spinning, abortive campaign for a Single Subject Amendment.

Yes... Congress being able to tack on whatever amendments they want, regardless of whether they are related to the bill, is one of the US's biggest problems. :(
