Carnival of the Vanities #148 - Oyez!

Welcome to the 148th Carnival of the Vanities, brought to you by the Supreme Court of the United States! The Court has been in the news a lot lately, but they're off for the summer -- or in the case of Justice O'Connor, for the rest of her life -- and are delighted to participate in this week's Carnival. Blog space this week generously provided by New World Man, where the Court has its very own category!

Bloggers offer their best recent posts in each week's Carnival hoping you'll stick around once you're there and keep coming back. So please do! And if you like a blog or a post, use the blog's contact info or the comments to the post on the blogger's site to let the author know!

Each of the nine Justices presents some of the submissions for this week's Carnival. No John G. Roberts -- maybe next year! Which Justice presents which post almost entirely depends on free association, no deeper, sinister meaning, so don't blame the Justice (or host) if your post is associated with someone whose judicial philosophy is not to your liking.

Post links are in bold, while the contributing blog's main page is normal type. Note that some of the submitted posts have scrolled off their blogs' main page!

You can use the links atop each entry to navigate around New World Man, or better yet use the links at the bottom of each Carnival page to navigate from Justice to Justice.

Oyez! Proceed with the Carnival of the Vanities, presented first by Justice Kennedy!
