More Alito
My posts below evaluate some of the First Amendment jurisprudence of Judge Alito. Prof. Larry Ribstein has a review of Alito's major business law work, concluding that "Alito has displayed a marked tendency to enforce contracts as written, specifically including choice of law/forum and arbitration provisions that are intended to mitigate litigation costs." People for the American Way soundeth the trumpet, for yea the apocalpyse is nigh (link includes another link to a 26-page PDF review of Alito's jurisprudence). SCOTUSblog reproduces its old Nomination Blog's profile of the Judge.
On the political end of things, Patterico examines and partially rebuts (not refutes; the difference is important!) a rumor that Sen. Specter has reason to personally work against the possible nomination of Alito behind the scenes. (Via Betsy Newmark.) Article III Groupie laments the similarities between Alito and Edith Brown Clement the last time we went through this.
