It's funny till someone gets hurt

So now the Cartoon Jihad includes a six million pound prize, plus the winner's weight in gold, for anyone who beheads one of the offending Danish cartoonists.

You're expecting me to say these people are animals; ok, but my real point is this: News orgainzations, Canadian churches and other twit-infested organizations that condemn the publication of these cartoons even in the face of embassies getting burned, innocent people getting killed and the like should come out in support of this.

I'm serious. If you're going to excuse propery damage and dead brown Christians on the basis that everyone should know better than to antagonize the Religion of Peace, you can't stop there. It's unfortunate that a cartoonist has to be beheaded for six million pounds and some gold, but with freedom of expression comes responsibility.

That members of Western society have to stake out positions on this matter is revolting, but once you've done so, stick to it. I expect to see tut-tutters who've been warning against publication of the cartoons to support -- gravely, if they prefer -- beheading the cartoonists.
