Wacther's Council results, April 21
We nominated Wednesday, voted Thursday and results were announced Friday.
Rhymes With Right won the Council vote with Arrogant District Refuses To Protect White Students.
Imagine this situation. Two black children, a brother and a sister, enrol at a school which is predominatly white. they are subject to racial slurs and other harrassment. They are threatened and assaulted. In one instance, after the girl is threatened, her white nemesis is forced to apologize -- only to return to school three days later with a weapon, threatening to kill the girl.
What do you think would happen?
You can probably guess (even without the post title) that the brother and sister in question were actually white in a predominantly black school, and what you think would happen in the hypothetical didn't. Read the whole thing, it got my first place vote this week.
Hate Central at the Sundries Shack, a fun-making exercise at an extremely angry lefty blogger profiled in the Washington Post, placed.
Wolfgang Bruno won the Non-Coucil competition with Do We Need Religion? Part 1.
Maybe we should abandon the common distinction between religious and non-religious ideologies. I will postulate that it is sometimes more useful to think of them as religions with God and religions without God, Marxism being a religion without God.
Long, thoughtful and interesting essay. Iran Extravaganza Post at The Adventures of Chester was runner-up.
