Watcher's Council results, June 16/23/30

You're that far behind? It's not my fault!

On June 30 (nominees, full results) ShrinkWrapped's The Dance of Escalation and Reaction was voted best Council post. Its non-Council counterpart was a Townhall.com not-really-blog-post-at-all entitled It's an Islamic Jihad, Stupid. We do love that phrase here! Runners-up came from The Glittering Eye (How Do You Solve a Problem Like... Korea?) and Florida Cracker (Peter, Paul, and Ingrate).

On June 23 (nomninees, full results), The Glittering Eye's The Iraqi Insurgency Has No Central Command won best Council post. Its non-Council counterpart was The Jihadi Network's Fatal Flaw at The American Thinker. Placing were Children in Danger From the UN at Gates of Vienna and Council alumnus New Sisyphus' Srebrenica, Kosovo, Unknown. I missed this vote entirely due to an ill-timed power outage.

On June 16 (nominees, full results) Right Wing Nut House won best Council post with Spinning Their Way to Defeat in November. Non-Council: One Liberal’s Argument for Still Staying in Iraq at A Newer World. Runners up were Gates of Vienna's Outer Darkness and Done With Mirrors' Hix Nix Chix (tie), and Malloch Brown's Message To America at The Belmont Club.

i like the format for this...I'm always late...I have till Tues to get the one from the 23rd up. Maybe I do a double plus gooder like this. Only yours is triple plus...

...and you didn't even get to vote??? Bummer. Our new satellite internet is quite unreliable. When they said "rain fade" they didn't tell us it meant rain anywhere on the globe. Wild Blue is definitely more on the wild than the blue side.

OTOH, our dial-up is 24.6 when it's zipping along.

So far, we've kept both. Expensive internet service, huh? A downside about living in Bucolia. Besides the lack o' latte, I mean.

I have a Verizon card, but my laptop is turning three this month and has a battery life of about 25 minutes. So once I finished up work stuff I was done online. The upside is I'm getting a new company laptop out of the deal.
