Islamocylons!

There are objections to the term "Islamofascist." (When did "Islamikaze" go out of style?) Jeff Taylor makes the case that Islamoklansmen is better. A commenter here suggests bin Ladenite. This gentleman would like to remind us who the real bad guys are, and coins the term Christianofascist. (I thought Andrew Sullivan was on vacation?)

Why are we all beating around the bush? We should just say what we're all thinking.

Islamocylons! I'm so totally serious:

* Dedicated to wiping out civilization for reasons we can't really understand

* And converting the survivors to their religion

* Perpetrator of spectacular suicide attacks

* Infiltrating the enemy's society and attacking from within

What's not to like! Plus, if you're on the other side of things,

* The Cylons are fictional characters, like terrorists

* President Baltar probably reminds you of somebody

* Cylon aggression has root causes in humanity's mistreatment and hubris. You're down with that

Islamocylons. It's the right choice at this crucial time in our nation's history. (and it's as serious a suggestion as the debate deserves)
